MC2 faculty work with the Maryland Center for Women in Computing to offer cybersecurity workshops and camps for middle- and high-school girls. These include:

Middle School

Saturday Cybersecurity Awareness Workshop Grades 6-8

This workshop for middle-school girls teaches them the basics of cyber safety and cybersecurity, with an emphasis on how to keep personal information secure online.

Cool Careers in Cybersecurity for Girls Workshop

MC2 and the National Cyberwatch K-12 Division hosted hundreds of middle school girls at UMD for an interactive day where participants helped solve a simulated case of identity theft and learn about many exciting career options in cybersecurity.

CyberSTEM Camp

In this five day camp, rising 7th- and 8th-grade girls learn programming, computer forensics, cryptography, and more.

High School

Intermediate CyberSTEM Camp

This week-long camp for 9th and 10th grade girls allows students to learn cyber forensics techniques, work with industrial programming languages, explore vulnerabilities, and more.

Cyber Defense Training Camp

During this seven day residential camp, rising 11th and 12th  grade boys and girls learn and apply their skills in intermediate networking, programming, hacking, and more while learning about the careers in cybersecurity and cybersecurity options at the University of Maryland.
